What is the name of organization, which you can donate money for small business loans? seen on the Daily Show.
I think it starting with an a...maybe? Anyways you could donate a money to people around the world who needed a loan for a small business? The guy who started the organization was on the Daily Show on comedy central, and talked about it.

Are there ANY decent business loans or grants out there for businesses destroyed in Hurricane Katrina?
I have a friend who had a business destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. He didn't qualify for enough of an SBA loan to fix or replace everything that was destroyed in the hurricane. He needs to know if there are any grants or low interest loans of any kind.

I want to start buying rental properties. I have some money, but I need more. Can I start a business, then get a business loan, to then mortgage these rental properties? Basically borrow money to use for down payments on mortgage loans.

I have been in the medical field for 27yrs and need to change due to health issues. I have and opportunity to buy an existing coffee shop for 400k. I am a women with bad credit due to medical bills. Can I still find a loan and where do I go to find it in NM? I am in a hurry to get things going I have been working with the current owners to get all the info I need so I can put together an accurate business plan to present.

Is there any company that gives small business loans based on?
the TransUnion credit score? There is a 100 point difference in the scores between TransUnion and Experian. I don't understand why. Where can I get a free copy of my credit scores? I know I can pay. I just don't want to.

Tax deductability of interest on business loans?
Is interest paid on a business loan an above the line or non-miscellaneous below the line deduction? IRC 62a includes as above the line all business expenses; but IRC 67b includes interest paid as a non-miscellaneous itemized deduction.
I'm 99% sure that it's an above the line deduction. However, are there certain situations in which you wouldn't be able to take the immediate deduction because the loan went to purchase or improve a capital asset?
Example: If you took a loan out to purchase a new machine for your business, can you deduct the interest paid or is the interest a capital expenditure?

Question re business loans and personal credit history?
I'm starting a business with a partner, we're incorporating and planning on having 50/50 ownership. We'll want to apply for a loan or credit line and banks will naturally be checking our credit histories. Here's the issue: my credit history is good, perfectly clean, and improving. My business partner has some big credit card balances from starting the business, has missed some payments... his credit is bad. I'm thinking maybe I should be the 100% owner initially, so my partner's credit doesn't become an issue. Later on after we've established business credit we can change to 50/50 ownership. Does that sound like a good strategy?
Thanks for the comments re my partner's credit issues. As background, he is great in retail, customer service, and started the business- currently owns it. Definitely needs help with the financial aspects, and I think the partnership will work well.

I want a loan to make money. Small business loans/credit cards for ppl with bad credit? Exponential growth?
My house was robbed and all my jewellery and money stolen a couple of years ago.
I was about to run a small home business with the money and assets i had saved doing security work.
As I didnt have insurance, I got into debt and had to move so I didnt get hit again.
Now I have bad credit, is there anyway I can get a loan with bad credit???
I only need a small credit card to help me juggle things.
I am now trying to run a business again, but dont nearly have the start or the credit ratings as i previously did,
I am still a student and was hoping to run a business in my part-time.
I am still making about 50-100% profit per month turnover from my money and business.
With this type of turnover even a small loan of 1-2k would grow my business exponentially.
Even 10-20% p.a would be nothing for me to juggle around.
I know it takes money to make money but I cant seem to get over that 1k-2k hill to start my business growing exponentially.
Any tips other than saving or selling my assets?

Small Business Loans for Women?
I was just wondering if anyone had any insight on this. My family and I are planning on overtaking a family restaurant within the next 5-10 months. The vast majority of my family is women. But most "small business loans" are for new start up companies, and this is something we see as low risk since the restaurant now is profitable and we're keeping the name. Does anyone know where I can find a step by step process to finding the correct loan in this area? Thanks so much!

I see Asians, and not american people own gas stations, dollar stores, hotels, products, and clothes store. Is the goverment helping all these foreigners instaded of american people? Or where they are getting all these resouces from?

Im wanting to open a book store but would like to get a grant to do it with. I dont want to waste my time so i thought i would hopefully run into someone who has done it!!! I have a question about business loans for an existing business and would like some information from someone?
A friend of mine has a great automotive repair business. He has built it up and has a great cusotmer base. he has been in business since 1999. When 9-11 happened , business slowed and he borrowed on credit cards, business eventually got better and I encouraged him to consolidate his cards and lower the interest. He did. In 2005 business was starting to pick up and he was rocking along, then when the hurricanes hit and gas prices skyrocketed his business started to fall off. People bought new, gas saving cars instead of repairing their gas guzzeler. All during this he has had bank loans to add on to the shop etc., they were good loans, but they were on a short term basis and what he needs is a loan to get the debt down and more long term to maximize his cash flow. He also is in arrears to the IRS for employee taxes and they are wanting their money PRONTO. His property and business is in an area that is getting ready to explode and to give up and let it go would be a shame.
