Is it better to consolodate all debt into a first mortgage or to keep car loans seperate?
I hate to be paying on a vehical for 20 years even though you have the equity available in the house.
Just wanted to add that our credit score is 752 and we are going from a 30 year mortgage with 26 years left on it to a 20 at the same interest rate minus 1/4 percent for automatic payments. If we do put the truck loan on the mortgage we have been told it they will cut us a check for that amount and we will then deposit it and pay the loan off with a personal check so the truck will not have a lien on it.
Maybe a 2nd on the truck alone or making an automatic additional principal payment of $300 per month will work. I will have to discuss that with the bank. Thanks!

Which is better to pay off car loans, credit card or put money toward mortgage.?
My husband and I have two car loans one at 4,800 at 4.9% the other at 14,400 at 6.15% and a credit card at 10,700 at 7.9% but we also have a mortgage. What I’m planning on doing is having my husband sign up for another credit card because the current offer is no interest till 2008 (including balance transfers, there is a fee but the max fee is about how much we pay for the finance charge in one month. What I don’t know is if I should put our tax refund toward bringing down the lower car loan so the 230 we put toward that every month can go to something else sooner or if I should put some toward the car and some toward the mortgage each month. We don’t know if it’s better to pay the min on the mortgage and put more toward the other loans or put a little toward the mortgage and one of the other loans. And yes while doing all this I do put a little towards savings each paycheck. Forgive me for rambling but I wanted to be as detailed as possible. Thanks!
I'm not cancelling the current card the one I would be transferring to has an apr of 9.9%. So I would transfer what's left after the 15 months back to the old card.

The original lender won't alter my interest rate at all.
If I go through a bank/other lender, do they come look at the car &/or appraise it?

Are there any army discounts for car loans/ refinancing an existing car loan?
I have an 06 RSX that I bought with a 625 credit score and pay like 500 a month w/ 9-11% interest I think. When I bought it I had 3,000 in credit card debt and had only had a credit history of 2 years. Now that I am 21 and have 3 years of credit history, and have paid off all my debt down to 0, plus made payments on this car for 1 year, I was planning on refinancing the car this year. I am doing this mainly so I can afford the car when I am in the army this year, however I was wondering if the army can provide any discount (like a credit union) for re-financing if I sign an allotment or something so the creditor is sure they will get their money.
Anyone have any info on this?

I know how a credit union works and I believe my credit is at something like 710, but I know the army has a lot of discount worked out with various institutions and I was wondering if being the army would help lend me credit for something like a refi. Obviousely I would only be doing this once I have been in for at least 6 months.

Want to buy home and pay off car loans is that possible?
I want to buy a home...here in South Texas a good starter home to fit my family would be about $120,000...my question is whether I'm able to throw in my vehicles into the mortgage to have more money available to buy a good home. I spend about $800 a month on the vehicles' payments so would I benefit from this...if it is possible, is it even a good idea because I'm not even sure?

How much available credit in $ to get 0% apr car loans?
I know that many things can influence one's credit rating, so I'll give a few bits of my info.
-I have no late payments or penalties on my credit.
-I have $14,000 of student loan debt, none of which requires payment yet.
-I have $11,500 total in my lines of credit, $10,500 of which is available. All of this credit is new, within the latest month.
(This yahoo ID is completely unattached from my finances and uses false personal info, before anyone gets an idea. :P )
What I'm asking is: for those of you who have been approved for 0% car loan apr, how much available credit did you have at the time? I don't feel like paying $9 for my FICO score (which is not in free credit reports) atm, since the soonest I would take out a loan is December.
