Question
While every one blames CEO's and banks and anyone but themselves...? ...what about Americans who signed loans *promising* to pay back the money loaned to them, but ran into "hard times". If you can't afford health insurance for your kid(s), you cannot afford a house. I would support any politician who was willing to pass a law that imposed liens on those who have defaulted on homeowners' loans and taxed (pardon the pun) this country's economy. What are your thoughts? I'm open to support and or criticism.

Yes, it is time people realised that they should expect to be held responsible for their actions. Over the past three to five decades there has been a tendency for people to try to lay the blame for their own misjudgements, decisions and actions at somebody else's doorstep. When I was a young child and teenager (in the 1940's), if I fell while playing at school and broke an arm or leg or was otherwise injured, my parents did not sue the school. I was treated for the problem at my parents expense. When I finished school, my parents supported me until such time as I was able to support myself. There was no unemployment benefit available to me during the period between my finishing school and finding my first real job. Later, when I ran into 'hard times' once I sought help from my parents, and it was given to me - together with a four page letter chastising me for not planning my financial affairs better and informing me of my responsibilities for my own well being.

And don't forget those who invested in banks and demands 20% profit year after year.
