After the completion of Fafsa and such, I only need $11,000 or so to pay for my upcoming freshmen year of college tuition. My parents are unwilling to sign loans for me to go and I can't guarantee that the private scholarships I've applied for will be enough to cover the remaining costs. Even then, without a co-signer, it will be very difficult to secure a loan without equity. You will need to have a job earning more than $1,000 and to be able to prove that you can pay back the loan. You can however get a federal student loan (without a cosigner) that you will never have to pay back as long as you meet regular admission standards.
