Looking for grants or low interest loans for landlord.?
I own low income property in Geneva, NY (ontario county) and am looking for a program to help fund some repairs. I am looking to replace windows and doors, new roof, etc... The city had a program where they would fund 50% and the rest could be financed at low interest but that program has ended. I am trying to find a simillar county, state or federal program. Thx

Can anyone suggest a low interest loan for someone with quite poor credit history?
Or am I just dreaming that this exists? I want a loan for a car, just £1000 but I have been refused by my own bank and by sainsburys loans. I nearly went for someone else but my sister advised me it was a yes loan and that these cannot be trusted. Anyone got any idea who the best people to go with would be? Thanks for the erm advice so far but all I want to know is where I can get a decent loan from. Thanks. Will people please stop saying save money..? and to answer somebodys question about yesloansuk, they mis-sell loans to people according to what was on tv on watchdog.

Where can I get a low interest loan for debt consolidation?
I have about $10,000 in credit card debt. The cards have been distroyed for about 9 months. I always pay more than the minimum amount due, never late payments etc. I cannot seem to make any headway. I pay almost $400 a month combined and it hardly does a thing. I have tried to apply for low/no interest cards to switch the balances but because I have too much "revolving credit" they turn me down. Then each inquiry into my credit to try and solve my problem also causes red flags on my credit report. My credit score is around 660 last time I checked. I am not a deadbeat; I am working really hard to fix this. I contacted debt management and they told me because I have decent interest rates and I am making payments they cannot help me. Is there some moderately weathly person who would personally lend me money at a low interest rate??? I just dont know what else to do.

Is it wise to take out a low interest loan to payoff a high interest credit card?
I have a credit card that is high in interest and I see little of the money going towards the principals, so I came up with an idea to take out a load to pay it off for a loan that has low interest. Is that a smart thing to do?

Should institutions offer interest free (or low interest) loans to help consumer confidence?
I mean how are people going to get out of debt with interest rates so high and unemployment so low? Why should government bail out mega billion dollar enterprises and let the average person fall flat on their face while bearing the burden of these bailouts for decades and possibly generations to come? Why not let the average joe "catch up" and pay off thier debts and give a period say of ONE YEAR of interest free payoffs? Certainly CREDIT CARD companies can afford to do this. I heard that the government might even consider lowering the prime right down to zero...it might actually have to come to that one day! And when I talk about DEBT it's not just DEBT but with people losing jobs how can they afford to eat and pay off bills etc. when most people carry mortgages and have been heavily relying on credit as well? Dont say it aint true either!! ;~) You are absolutely WRONG on that one SWAY. And don't you worry about me....I'm in much better shape that your little head imagines. Well Gaby, I sure hope life throws you a few curves. They will certainly make you a more well rounded person. If your kid gets cancer tomorrow and you have to sell your house (only in America!!!) I want to know if you will be singing to the same tune. Don't forget to read the fine print on that AMAZING insurance packing you (THINK YOU) have. You're in for a HUGE surprise. Stay healthy and keep those arteries unclogged. I see now why guns are so revered in the US too. It's always a perogative too. Now THAT is a reality check!!

How do I manage to get a low interest loan for school?
I've been trying hard off and on for about 6 months and it seems that the school I want to go to isn't qualifed for most banks for a school loan, it isn't federally accredited so I can't get a Stafford loan. And my only other option outside of what the school suggests is to get a private loan. Trouble all these options are about 13% or higher and I know the interest rates for colleges are hard right now but any ideas? I'd like to get below 10% optimally and have the loan be for a term of 10 or 15 years, fixed would be nice as well. Opps I forgot some key details for those answering: I'm already 28 and have a full time job making decent money. I already have a degree in business . This school would be to elevate me higher in options. I don't think there are any scholarships for this school for my position I'm in. Looking for financing ideas from users mostly. Thanks.

Why is the govt using our tax money to help Wall Street? What about a low interest loan for these firms?
If my business fails the government won't give me help, or will it? That would be a form of welfare. Right? I know we must do what we can to fix the economy.

What should our spending priorities be if the US can no longer get low-interest loans to float the budget?
In London's Financial Times today: US's triple-A credit rating 'under threat' By Francesco Guerrera, Aline van Duyn and Daniel Pimlott,in New York Published: January 11 2008 02:00 | Last updated: January 11 2008 02:00 The US is at risk of losing its top-notch triple-A credit rating within a decade unless it takes radical action to curb soaring healthcare and social security spending, Moody's, the credit rating agency, said yesterday. The warning over the future of the triple-A rating - granted to US government debt since it was first assessed in 1917 - reflects growing concerns over the country's ability to retain its financial and economic supremacy... Is anyone else worried about this? If we default, we will not be able to get ANYmore loans. Then we will have to live within our means, and I don't believe we're ready for that.
