Can i get a grant or low interest loan to invest in rental of single family homes.?

not likely, in fact, for investment property - you will need 10-20% down payment and the int rate will be higher due to the increased risk of it not being owner occupied

NO you cannot get a grant for investing in property
Grants for for-profit companies are typically given to companies developing or exporting agricultural goods, including food and forest product.
