How do I find the best bank for a home morgage?
im looking for a bank to get a home morgage, how do I go about finding out wich one will be better? Do different banks have different rates? I do not know where to start? Would I shop around?Any answers would be greatly appreciated!!!! thank-you Any other home buying advise too ;)

What type of Morgage should I get and should I put any money down?
I am about to go to contract on building a new home. I am not really sure what type of loan is best for me. I have the 20% to put down on the property but not sure if thats the right thing to do. Part of me says put the 20% down to get around PMI and reduce the payment so I could cash flow and the other side of me says to keep that 80,000.00 in the bank. I would plan on staying in the home maybe 3-5 or 6 years. If I 100% finance is that better or just what should I do?

Why cant you apply for a morgage if you have less then 1 year on your visa?
My boyfriend and i are looking to buy next year and have been told we arent able to get a morgage as i will have less then 1 year left on my visa, even though its an ansestral visa and ill be applying for my british passport in the future.

How much will morgage be on a 270,000 house, first time buyer?
My bf is looking into houses and right now i think its really expensive, we did find some houes upstate ranging for about 275,000 or so.
Whats am estimate on how much morgage will be monthly...and another estimate including utlities (light, gas, water)
His numbers seem way off

If a morgage defaults in MD what happens to the other people on the title of the property?
I am on a title to a property but not the loan itself. I am in no relation to the person on the mortgage loan. They are about to go into default and possible foreclosure. What will happen to me since on the title? Will I have an option to buy out? Thanks!

He has good credit, I have bad credit, can we still get a morgage together?
My husband has really good credit, he makes about 50,000/year and already has a house with a morgage of about 120,000. I make about 60,000 but while in college really messed up my credit. Could we ever get a morgage together or would they not give us one because of my bad credit? Serious advice is VERY much appreciated. Thanks!

how do i calculate interset on morgage with different monthy payments?
i have a private morgage and i would like to add extra dollares to my each monthy payment. each month will be a different amout. for example: my payments are 270 a month, this month i might pat 340 next month 278 next month 700. how do i keep track of the interest and the amortization? is there a calcuator or a softwear available that is free? or any idea how to set up the formual in Excel? best regards
