how do i convince my spanish morgage lender to make the payments lower?
my morgage is interest only but the rate has nearly doubled...i need to convince the bank to lower the price

Contact the bank Manager and see if they can help, otherwise I would shop around for another home mortage the interest rates are low so go for it. Best Wishes and God Bless.

You signed a contract, you need to go by whatever you agreed to in the first place. The language spoken by the lender has no bearing on the legal contract.
In order for a new interest rate to be reassigned you need a new contract, ie, you have to refinance the property.
