Question
Are there personal loans that allow me to make extra payments? I want to take out a loan for a car, one with fairly minimum payments...but would like to have the option to pay more off if I have extra money some months...are there loans that allow me to do this?

I'm assuming you're in the US. Ask your credit unions, they are much easier to deal with!!!

If you're in the UK, most High Street banks loans will allow you to pay off lump sums whenever you like. I've had experience of a NatWest car loan, and you can pay off the whole with no real penalties. They will obviously charge you pro-rata interest for the time the money is outstanding, and obviously any fees or charges for setting up the loan would still have to be settled. Always check the small print of any loan you're looking at to be sure if this is important to you : )
