Question
Looking to repair bad credit so I can start up my own business!? I have a terrible credit score. I owe money to 3 companies, but 2 of them are not even in existence anymore. The last is an old credit card bill. Now, I realize i need to pay these things off to help with my credit. After I do that though, how do I get my credit up? Obviously I'm not going to be able to get a credit card, so how else can I quickly start to repair my credit?

I have been to "many" different credit repair sites on the web. Some were pretty good and some were pretty bad. I refuse to use a website<!--that requires a fee to get their credit repair info when there is great free sites on the web.. I'm listing the best site that I've ever been to. http://badcredits.awardspace.com/repaircredit.htm It is a "free" do it yourself credit repair site. I have learned so much by reading and asking questions on that site. And, I have seen "significant" improvement on my credit reports after learning-->my rights and using them.Don't pay for information that you can find for free.

You should contact a reputable Credit REPAIR service. DO not contact people who solicit your business from the internet. Call your local bank and ask them who they use for their clients. Or call a couple of mortgage companies in your area and ask who they use for their clients. Interview several. Some charge by the line item others charge by the month. Our company refers to www.veracitycredit.com But do your research and DO NOT trust people solciting your business online. Not all are honest or ethical. I broker commercial loans so I do know what I am tell you is true. Many clients have tried to find help and have been burned I can be found at www.loanforbiz.com if you would like more information. If you want to repair your credit and this is your situation, consider yourself lucky that this is as bad as it is. Your situation is an easy one to fix. First, for those two companies who are not in existence anymore, write them a letter and dispute whatever listing they have on your credit report. If they are not in business anymore, they can't report that information. If there is a collection agency listed as collecting the debt, find out who they are and get them to validate the debt. In this case the debt should have been sold to someone, and it is likely that they won't be able to produce any records and they will have to delete the negative listing. If they don't just get rid of the listing, make sure when you pay all three of these things that you negotiate how the listing on your credit report will look. You don't want anything else but paid, paid in full, or paid as agreed. Get everything they agree to in writing, this way if future disputes come up you will have a letter to back up the terms of the agreement you made with them. And as far as getting a credit card, you can get one right now, you will just have to pay outrageous fees. Hope this helps. If any of this is over your head, visit the sites below for more answers.
