What happens if you don't pay a secured loan?
My husband has 2 secured loans at two different independent loan places. We've been paying on them for years, but recently have had severe money problems and can't pay the amount due monthly. The secured items were TV's (since broken and replaced) digital camera (broke) computer (fried and replaced) things like that. They never took serial numbers on these things, never took pictures. Could they come back and take our replaced items (like replaced TV and camera (given as gift) there wasn't a title loan or anything. What are our legal rights, if they threaten to take these things?

How would a secured loan work if i took one out on my car?
I was just wondering how a secured loan would work if i took one out and used my car as collateral, does my car need to be valued or something? or is it just te stamp duty cost paid on registration?
any answers or links would be much appreciated.

Is it better to borrow on my mortgage or secured loan?
I want to borrow some to money to consolidate all my credit and thought the only way out is to put it on my mortgage. Problem is i am tied into my mortgage til September and so will have a charge of £3000.00 to pull out. Also i will have to have a survey done and pay solicitor fees. Someone has suggested getting a secured loan which is basically the same as a mortgage but you will get the money quicker and wont incurr any charrges. Which is the best option to go for?

If I have bad credit, will a personal secured loan healp to improve my score if I keep paying off my debt?
Paying off and paying on time my current derogatory items is not bringing my score up if anything my score has dropped 30 points within 3 months. Will a personal secured loan help to get my score up?

Brokerage that will permit a secured loan be taken with stocks you own as collateral?
i am looking for a reputable Brokerage firm, such as scottrade, fidelilty etc.. that will allow you take out a secured loan against stocks you own as collateral. dont want to sell stocks i owe and instead use as collateral for 12 month loan

Can I get a secured loan if I give them cash to hold?
I want to get a small secured loan and pay it back quickly to improve my credit score quickly... I have no assets to use as collateral but I can give them the money in the exact amount of the loan to have for collateral until I pay it off.
Would they do this?

Can I get a small secured loan whilst under a debt agreement?
I am currently paying off a debt agreement, but am in need of a small (no more than $2,000) secured loan to pay some vet bills etc. I have the capacity to repay this amount within a year but am not sure of any companies who provide such a loan... Are there any? I have a car for security with a clear title (no money owed on it).

i took out a secured loan through my mom for my car i bought and paid off the 10,000 dollars. Do those payments count towards my credit score or no, because it was a secured loan and my mom cosigned?

How does a share secured loan work?
And would this help build my credit or not? Does it use the money you already have in your share account? If so, is this purely a loan to build up your credit or can you actually get more money than what is in your share account?

Need to sell home with secured loan on it?
We urgently need to move to a bigger property as we are currently living in a 2 bedroom house and have just had our second child. We are basically being told that we are stuck here as we have a secured loan on the property that would need to be paid back in full on sale of the property and because of the housing market, we won't be able to get what we paid for the house, and even if we could we would still be short on paying the loan back. Are we really stuck here indefinitely?

If I go to a local bank and apply for a $1000 loan and put my brand new iPad 2 as collateral, would they accept that. I have no credit history and I gross 2,200 a month . So would they take that?

Is a secured loan a good methods to rebuilding credit?
I'm skeptical about this because I don't really see the "loan" when I'm giving $500 to the bank, then they hold it, give me $500 and I repay the amount over 12 months for about $43/month. If it helps me rebuild my credit, then I'm all for it! But does it really?

How do I go about getting an auto secured loan on my PIF Vehicle?
I have excellent credit but several cr. cards with balances. I was thinking of taking a loan out against my vehicle in order to consolidate all into one payment being an installment loan. My total debt is $13000, my vehicle is worth $22000 and I have the title. I feel like it would be better to pay the cards completely off and just have my Mortgage and the Installment loan. What banks offer this? Any Suggestions?

Mother died and has a secured loan that we are trying to sell the house to pay. Collection agency said we coul?
The loan is for 23000, we offered 10000 they said yes. Can they remove lien from court records or are they lying to us.
