I am returning to school in the fall but am short a good amount of money. I need a loan to pay for the rest of the first year, but I have really bad credit due to poor judgment from a couple of years ago. Does anyone know of any places, programs, or banks that gives student loans to people with bad credit? Any help would be great! ALOT of places WILL work with you to give you a loan but because you said you have bad credit your interest rate will be higher than others. They do this because to them you are a liability and charging you the higher interest insures that they will get their money. But you will be able to get a loan. Their really good and it is not based on credit like some banks. You can take out a private loan and go to whatever bank that is on the listing. My credit isn't all that great and I'm about to start building my credit back and I was approved for a student loan for fall semester. I understand where you coming from because school can become very expensive. Try to get some grants too if you can at least it will go towards your education and you wil not have to pay it back.
